We had a busy weekend celebrating my birthday and dealing with Chase's first tooth popping up! My birthday was on Saturday so we went and looked at couches (yeah don't we know how to celebrate!) and found this gorgeous furniture place called Wasatch Home. We met this lady who works there as an interior designer (and who has been designing for 30 yrs) and as part of their services, Wasatch Home provides free interior design and it's still free even if you decide not to buy any of their furniture. So, I guess that is birthday present number 1, we are getting our great room professionally done by a designer, I'm so excited! She is coming to our house Wednesday to look at the room and get a feel for our style and what we want.
After we were done, we went and ate at Texas Roadhouse. I had 3 rolls with honey butter, most of a half slab of ribs (which really do fall right off the bone), a loaded sweet potato, and caesar salad. Normally I don't eat that much, but I seriously pig out whenever we eat there. Then we headed home to put the baby to bed...and that's when he became very grumpy. Six attempts and 2 hours later he was finally sleeping. I noticed the tooth during one of his screaming periods. I guess the teething process wasn't so bad this time around. He only screamed when we put him down for bed. As soon as we took him out of the crib he was fine. When I realized he was getting a tooth, I gave him some Humphrey's teething pellets and put him down about 10 minutes later, my 6th or 7th attempt. That time he fell asleep, I don't know whether to credit the teething pellets or the fact that he had been up for almost 6 hours straight. And that was the end to my birthday! Well, we did watch Balls of Fury (a movie about ping pong) before I went to bed but it's not even worth mentioning, it was a terrible movie!

Happy Birthday! Even your little one was thinking of you one your birthday! What a present. We too had a fun teething experience with Emma this week! She's getting her molars.
happy late birthday! glad to see you're back to blogging. Now we just need more pictures of your ginormous house!
Happy birthday! I love Texas Roadhouse too! I can't believe you only ate 3 rolls! I think I eat at least 5 every time I go. You didn't sit on the saddle did you? I can't wait to see your house!
Another Happy Birthday. I think we need to keep track of these, I seem to forget everyone's birthday. I'm glad you were forced to see Balls of Fury too. My husband laughed through the whole thing and I was just not so sure what he was laughing at. When do we see pictures of the cute new house?? By the way, so good to see you on Saturday. Chase was cute as always!
