Our Boy at 6 Months

Today was our 6 month check-up. I hate check-ups because of the shots. It's so sad to see his reaction. First he jumps and looks surprised then his face gets bright red and he doesn't breath for a few seconds then finally he starts screaming. We also found out his latest stats:

Height: 27 1/2 in. (85th percentile)

Weight: 18 lbs 7 oz (75th percentile)-he is super heavy! Soon it will be time to get a new car seat that will hold his weight, his infant one only holds up to 20 lbs.

Head: 44 cm (5oth percentile)

He is very healthy and growing well! I talked to the doctor today about solids, I gave up again because Chase is so stubborn and refuses to open his mouth for the spoon. Usually our feeding sessions end with crying. The doctor said I can start trying fruits and vegetables. Today I tried applesauce. He opened his mouth once for the spoon then I had to sneak the rest in while he was screaming (happy screams) or crying. This time I just have to keep at it. Hopefully soon he will get used to it.

Some things Chase is doing at 6 months:

• He has been rolling over from his back to stomach. It's funny though, when he rolls onto his stomach he always keeps his arm underneath his stomach so he can easily roll onto his back again.
• He has started fake coughing. It's sooo cute. He usually will fake cough when I wipe his face down with a wet washcloth.
• He's getting better at sitting up. We practice every day! He can sit up by himself for about 10 seconds then falls over.
• He loves daddy's watches. I think he is going to be obsessed with watches just like his dad.
• He has been using his feet lately to play with his toys. I have a picture down below.
