Poor Bentley

I don't want Bentley to feel left out, so this post is dedicated to him and what he's been up to. During the month of March, he got a big open wound on his nose. When he has an itchy nose or face, he always rubs it on the carpet. Big surprise, this caused rug burn on his nose so he dealt with an injured nose all month. It is now just about healed but I can't believe how long it took for his nose to come back!

It looked much nastier than this, by the time I finally got around to taking a picture of it, it was already a few weeks post injury.
I don't know what went on in this picture, the sun or flash reflected in the wound or something, its so bright!
And this is what he does pretty much all day, every day...oh how I envy him sometimes! When it starts getting warmer, I plan on taking him and Chase for walks everyday so his life will start having some excitement.
And this picture is just funny...he often walks around the house like this, covered in a blanket. He sure loves to cuddle with blankets!
I love you Bentley, even though I don't pay nearly as much attention to you as I did before Chase...don't worry, in no time Chase will be walking and chasing you around and pulling your tail...basically annoying you to death, but I'm sure you will love the attention!

Valentine's Day!

I realize Valentine's Day was way before our cruise and I don't even remember what we did on V-Day, but I did take pictures of Chase in a cute red outfit my sister gave him...it made the perfect outfit for that day! Plus, I'm just trying to post as many pictures as I can for his grandmas...

Don't you just wish he was your Valentine?

I am working hard at catching up, so keep checking back!

Yes I've been lazy!

Well, just with the blog. I'm a little overwhelmed right now I don't even know where to start! I guess I'll start with some cruise pictures. Our cruise was 2 months ago already but I still wanted to share some pictures from it (wow where does the time go? well, I know where it goes, Chase gets most of it and Jason gets the rest but...). So here you go, enjoy! I was trying to put the pictures in order but it didn't work so well...in my opinion Blogger is weird with pictures. Oh well.

The Florida Everglades

Our other half of the group in an airboat
More of the Everglades...

Vultures in a tree
The alligators came really close to our boat...that's why the tour guides are VERY strict about not sticking any limbs outside of the boat or putting your hand in the water...you never know what will pop out of the water. Did you know alligators and crocodiles can jump out of the water about half their length or one and a half times their length, I can't remember...I'm not in school anymore, so I'm no longer good at remembering random facts
You better watch out...he's watching you very closely...
This picture is to give you an idea how close those cute little alligators were to our boat

This picture is way in the wrong place and I'm not sure how it got here...anyway, this is a picture of the blue blue water in Mexico! Jealous yet?
Me holding a baby alligator.
Our boat right before we boarded! It was absolutely massive
Jason holding the baby

Us in Mexico (that's our boat next to the Carnival one, which looks pretty wimpy next to our boat!)

They really do fold the towels in animals! We also had a frog one night and a bunny.
Formal night...I was trying to hide my 8 week post pregnant stomach behind the post...Also half my face is burnt, I fell asleep in the sun so only one side of my face got it. I wasn't too thrilled taking any pictures of myself after that happened!

The view of the ocean from one of the dining rooms
Waiting for one of the shows to start...
Getting off the ferry that took us to mainland Mexico

Hmm so here is this picture again...well I'll just leave it.

This was a show the last night of the cruise...I think it was called the goodbye show or something like that. Onstage are a bunch of the cruise workers who were all so nice!
Some of the crew at the goodbye show...
Our last dinner (so sad, I miss those dinners) We took a picture with our waiter, who was very sweet and did a fantastic job serving us!
We all wore the same shade of blue so we had to get a picture together (that's me, Michelle, Holly and Raelene)
And last, Jason climbing the rock wall on the ship. He went so fast I could barely get any pictures.
I feel like we didn't really get enough pictures on our cruise. We weren't very good picture takers. It's hard because you are so busy doing different activities. Oh well...hopefully this won't be our last cruise!

A Few More Pictures

The first time in his new toy. As you can see, his legs still don't quite reach the floor and he isn't liking the toy so much yet. He just looks so cute and little in it.
He is intensely studying his toy dog
Then starts getting really sleepy...
But mom can still get him to smile (don't you just love those chubby cheeks?)
But he is still so tired

Bathtime Fun!

In the first 2 pictures he is gearin' up for bathtime! He knows it's time and is moving his legs and arms like crazy with excitement.

He always makes the funniest face when he first hits the water.
Then he starts having fun!
He wants to know why daddy is taking pictures of him during bathtime.

Yay for Pictures of Chase!

So here they are a week later. Hey it could have taken longer. I could be napping right now while Chase naps...or cleaning. But instead, I am putting you readers first today! Here he is with his huge smile and chubby cheeks
Whenever i put him in his swing, he just stares up at his animals and keeps on smiling at them. Those animals have a magical effect on him.
Just hanging out with those chubby cheeks.
A momentous occasion for two reasons: This is one of the only times he has actualy taken a pacifier, and it's one of the first times he is finally gripping his toys! By the way, this was taken weeks ago before the cruise. He is now a seasoned pro at gripping and picking up toys.
I just like this face.

Maybe Our Future House?

So I know I still haven't posted those pictures. I forgot to mention on our wonderful cruise that the company provided a gift to each couple: a new camera! Which was perfect since we have been wishing and hoping for a new camera and were about to go buy a new one ourselves. The one we got is a really nice, expensive one. And I still need to download the software on our computer and that's what's been holding me up. I suppose I could do it now but of course, I am exhausted. So here are some pictures you can look at in the meantime. It's a house Jason and I are eyeing. We still have yet to put our house back on the market but are planning to within the next 2 weeks. It's funny becuase both houses on each side of us are for sale right now. I want to get ours up soon because I'm hoping it will help ours sell and bring more people to see it. Here is the outside: It's a cool house. The floorplan is different than most houses. On the first floor there is a living room or office and a bathroom. The second floor has the laundry room, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a huge bonus room over the garage. The third floor has the kitchen, dining room, great room, master bedroom and 2 bathrooms.
Here's the kitchen, it is huge! Lots of cabinets, double ovens (one of my dreams) and some of the thickest granite counters I've ever seen. On the wall behind the desk, there is an intercom system and video monitor so you can see who is at the door and buzz them up.
The great room. It has floor to ceiling windows which I love! The house is up on the mountain so it has the most spectacular views of the valley. I love the view, I could probably stare out the window all day.

Oh, and did I mention this house has an elevator? Of course, carrying groceries up 2 flights of stairs would be a great workout, but would get old real fast.

Anyway, there is of course no guarantee we will get this house since we still need to sell ours, but this one has already been on the market over 6 months and the price keeps dropping. We are still looking at other houses though so we might find one we like even better. But having an elevator and those views would be pretty awesome!

In other news, today was the first Sunday I took Chase to church since he's been born. I figured there was no point in taking him before because I would just be roaming the halls the entire time with a screaming baby but now that his crying fits are getting better, I decided to try it out. I really miss going. Going to our ward though is going to be a challenge. Our ward starts at 8:30! Chase doesn't even wake up till between 7:30 and 8 then has to eat which takes him 30 minutes. And I don't dare change his schedule, he is pretty set with it. And I don't really care to have him wake up any earlier! Anyway, we didn't make it to our 8:30 sacrament meeting today so we went to the next ward at 10:30. It was better that way because no one in that ward knows us so if Chase did start freaking out, I wouldn't be so embarrassed. He was perfect though until about 11:10 he lost it because he was hungry. And I didn't pack a bottle because he's been eating every 4 hours and I thought for sure he would make it through sacrament meeting. So we had to leave a little early and I learned to always pack a bottle no matter what. I think he is going through a growth spurt, lately he always wants to eat. Next week we will have to be at our own ward, it is our turn in the library. I am going to have to wake him up, and you know what happens when you wake a sleeping baby...it's not a pretty sight!
